upcoming Android M release has an upgraded version of Google Now that

Will
upstart start-ups with great prices survive when they ultimately have
to start charging market rates that yield a profit? Great question.
An
app that cuts the legs out from under decades-old industries can be
developed in a matter of months. But as markets inevitably find
equilibrium, will your startup still be standing?

Franchisees
are spending big money on online ads. But this data suggests a big
percentage of them are not all that active with social media.
In
response to the digital preferences of today's consumers,
small-to-medium sized franchises are allocating more of their ad budgets
toward digital media.

Google's new ad-tracking system has the potential to breath new life into television advertising.
As
traditional TV advertising continues to struggle, Google prepares to
launch a digital era ad-tracking system that measures actual
performance.

TV
as we know it is slowly dying, no matter if Google rolls out it's own
tv (tracking) network or not. All the ratings show it. Advertising
revenues keep dropping and that in itself causes even worse TV than it
already is (it actually has become one big propaganda machine already).
In general younger generations do not watch TV anymore (they start to
understand what BS the main stream media are feeding them and the lack
of real journalism). They mostly get their content from the internet
somehow. Next to that ad-free systems (e.g. Netflix) are winnning.
People actually want to pay for good content and cut the cable of the tv
nonsense and advertisements. It's well known also the silly banners and
pre-roll ad's on the internet don't work either (actually one of the
reasons Google is looking into other revenue sources). These days people
are fooled with native advertising, stories that appear to be news, but
are actually (well) paid advertisements. All the major networks already
do this. Once people figure that out also, it will cause an even bigger
decline for tv.

in the world of journalism. Here are a few exciting new concepts.
In
days of print journalism, reporters and editors wrote stories that they
assumed would interest their readership. Today, new media startups are
figuring out what people are interested in before they create the
content.

This
is the problem with basing your business on "the cloud" meaning someone
else is doing the majority of the work. When they change their
business model yours must change and usually VERY fast. Every business
has outside vendors but when you outsource Everything to one vendor you
are left incredibly vulnerable.

Interest
rates, the dollar, and even the weather seem to be ganging up on small
businesses. But in the face of a stingier lending climate, some
cash-strapped entrepreneurs are getting a helping hand from lenders who
want a stake in their future success.
